MIAMI (CBSNewYork/AP) — He is the best player in the game and this is the best moment in his sport.
Game 7, NBA title on the line.
“The moment is going to be grand,” LeBron James said.
And it might redefine someone’s legacy.
No matter what happens Thursday night, he and the Miami Heat, and Tim Duncan’s San Antonio Spurs have already won titles and secured a place in NBA history.
Now is their opportunity to elevate it.
The truly memorable teams won the hard way, and that will be the case for the one celebrating at center court this time.
It’s either a Heat repeat, possible only after James led them back from what seemed certain elimination in the closing seconds of Game 6, or the Spurs shaking off as gut-wrenching a loss as a team can have to become just the fourth club to win Game 7 of the NBA Finals on the road.
“For all those guys who left, make sure you don’t come to Game 7,” Heat center Chris Bosh said of the fans who left the arena early on Tuesday. “We only want the guys who are going to stay in the building for the whole game. You never give up. People gave up on us. They can stay where they are and watch the game at home.”
Miami guard Ray Allen knows how much is at stake in Game 7.
“As a competitor you love it, because you know you have an opportunity and it’s up to you,” Heat guard Ray Allen said. “We have a chance in our building to make something great. All of our legacies are tied to this moment, this game. It’s something our kids will be able to talk about that they were a part of. Forever will remember these moments, so we want to not live and have any regrets.”
Allen was on the court the last time the NBA’s season went down to the very last day, his Boston Celtics fading at the finish and falling 83-79 to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2010. That improved the hosts to 14-3 in Game 7 of the Finals — and no road team has won that decisive game since Washington beat Seattle in 1978.
Overcoming those odds, not to mention the NBA’s winningest team, would make this more memorable than the Spurs’ previous four titles, though this is a franchise that never dwells too much on the past or looks too far into the future.
All that matters is now.
“You know what, it’s all about just winning the title. It’s not about situation or what has led up to it,” Duncan said. “It’s a great story for everybody else, but we’re here for one reason, one reason only: It’s to try to win this game (Thursday). We have had a very good season thus far, and I think we just want to get to the game more than anything. We just want to see what happens and be able to leave everything out there.”
The teams trudged back to the arena Wednesday, some 12 hours after the Heat pulled out a 103-100 overtime victory in Game 6 to even the series. The Spurs, five points ahead with 28 seconds left in regulation, had to fight off fatigue and heartbreak, insisting neither would linger into Thursday.

The 'Stanley Cup' Of B-to-B Social Media

This time of year, America’s third or fourth (depending on where you live) most popular sport gets its moment in the sun. The Stanley Cup finals began last week and the nation’s attention turned to ice, hockey sticks, pucks and maybe mullets.
For business marketers, the holy grail, or, in this case, the Stanley Cup has been trying to demonstrate the business impact of social media, which is not defined by adoption, usage or engagement, but by influence. It proves that social media and/or social networks can influence buyer behavior. New insight suggests that it might be time to lace up the skates and put on the pads.
Word of mouth (WOM), defined by person-to-person communication be that in person or over the phone, is and has always been the most used and most influential channel for business buyers. Sometimes also described and measured as NPS (Net Promoter Score), it is the Wayne Gretzky of driving influence among decision-makers, both in new acquisition and for renewal.
Unlike WOM, social media has struggled with demonstrating influence. Adoption and usage rates continue to grow, but the impact on B-to-B decision-makers has been difficult to nearly impossible to measure (by the way, this is not unlike other, more established media channels).
That was until now. Research from Buyersphere may give us a clue as to how social media could influence decision-makers in the near future, and it has given us a couple of veritable hockey sticks and a puck to play with.
According to Buyersphere’s Annual Survey of B2B Buyer Behavior, even though buyers mention social media (and providers such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) when asked to rate their usage and the usefulness of channels when searching for vendors, they fall off the grid when asked to evaluate their influence. As you would expect, word of mouth came out on top.
Diving deeper into the research, it revealed a few game-changing findings: 20- to 30-year-olds (Gen Y), act like no other previous generations. The first “hockey stick” is somewhat known: twenty-something-year-old business buyers are roughly twice as likely to seek information or advice from social media as the generation before them (31- to 40-year-olds) and almost four times more likely to than the baby boomers (51- to 60-year-olds).

The second hockey stick, and the one that may end up being somewhat problematic for marketers, is that 49 percent of Millennials stated that they wanted to create and publish their own professional content. They want not only your content, but also to be able to disassemble it and repackage it with their own point of view.
And finally, the puck to play with is that buyers under 30 are the only group that describe word of mouth as social media first, and then phone or in person. Close to 50 percent of Gen-Y buyers defined WOM as any social media, in person or phone, mentioned by only 33 percent of the respondents. Buyers aged 40 to 50, by contrast, define WOM as in person or phone 60 percent of the time with any social media platform only 23 percent.
Game On
Marketers’ most powerful and influential channel is now being redefined, and this presents the best opportunity to date to demonstrate the impact of social media on buyer behavior. “To skate to where the puck is going to be,” as Gretzky used to say, we need to plan now.
To define the approach, we need to understand the components of social media that are often lumped together—social networks and social media. Social networks refer to the connection among users and their social structure (friend, business acquaintance, etc.).
Social media is defined as the online channel used to generate, access and distribute content. The distinction is important because of the way different generations of business buyers use and value them. This differentiation is key to unlocking influence.
We know that the social network of these business buyers heavily influences Gen Y more than any other generation. We know that half of them want to produce and share their own content, 60 percent upload content to the Web, and 62 percent rate products and services on the Web.
So, for Enterprise accounts, where Gen Y is five to 10 years from occupying the C-suite, take a lesson from McDonald’s and “grow your own customers.” Get Gen Y hooked on your content by involving them in your brand and making your content modular so it’s easy to repackage and share. The route to influence is through cause marketing efforts delivered via mobile devices. Thirty-seven percent of Millennials say they are drawn to products with co-branded campaigns.

For small businesses, which Gen Y owns close to one out of three, according to the Enterprise Council on Small Business (ECSB), the goal should be to make them advocates for your brand, product or services to their network. To do that, focus on issue resolution, the number one loyalty driver. For prospects, provide information that is useful.
According to the ECSB, the number one pain point for all small-business owners, especially being twice as prevalent among Gen-Y owners, is sales and customer acquisition. Specifically, lead generation and successfully competing with other small-business owners are of particular challenge. Help them understand how your products and services can help them grow their business.
Even though there is potential for social media to deliver a real, tangible business impact, it will be similar to this championship series. It’s not going to be quick. Expect to lose a game or two, and to be successful you’ll need to take many shots on goal…hell, you might even chip a tooth or get a “shiner” along the way.

Christie Brinkley Plays DJ At SoFo Rocks

christine brinkley
Christie Brinkley continued her charity work this weekend at the South Fork Natural History Museum in Bridgehampton. The famous model was on hand at the 24th annual summer fund raising party, SoFo Rocks, which raises money to preserve the natural environment of Long Island’s South Fork.
Brinkley, a mermaid honoree, was honored at SoFo rocks for her “continued support of environmental philanthropy.” The Daily Mail notes that Brinkley also attended an annual meeting on radiation and public health and a stroll through the model’s Twitter feed shows that Brinkley is constantly promoting charitable causes.
On June 13 she wrote: “Thank you Ginger for this great article that highlights the important work of Pet Philanthropy.”
Brinkley said that she likes to attend charitable events because it brings attention to a good cause. Some media outlets may focus more on what she’s wearing but the model said that any exposure is good exposure.
Brinkley said: “I know when I go someplace that they’re going to want to find out about what I’m wearing instead of what I’m saying. But to be able to get something about a nuclear power plant on Extra or Access Hollywood is incredible.”
Of course, attending these events also allows Brinkley to do things that she normally doesn’t get to do: Like play DJ.
And just in case you were wondering about what Brinkley was wearing, here’s a photo from earlier in the day. Brinkley looked amazing (she’s 59!) wearing a Victoria Beckham dress (Sandra Bullock recently stunned audiences in a VB dress) while hanging out with Alec Baldwin.
But this isn’t about what Christie Brinkley was wearing. This is about preserving Long Island. You can read more about the SoFO Rocks fundraiser here.

Leyla Ghobadi better have her ducks in a row.
The Canadian model did an interview with Star magazine claiming to have slept with Kanye West twice since he has been with Kim Kardashian, once while Kardashian was pregnant.
True or not, it means the clock is ticking on Ghobadi's 15 minutes of fame. So if she wants to cash in, she had better do it soon because when the hype dies down and the media moves on, most infamous other women find themselves high and dry.

“Typically, the ‘careers’ for Hollywood mistresses are short-lived. More often than not the mistresses disappear once the press does. America really rallies behind the scorned woman more these days – as was seen in cases like Sandra Bullock and Eva Longoria,” talent agent Alec Shankman told FOX411's Pop Tarts column. “Between Jesse James and Tiger Woods alone, we had upwards of dozens of mistresses involved, yet no one is really talking about any of them anymore.”
Just ask Michelle "Bombshell" McGee.
More than three years after tattooed stripper McGee was exposed as the mistress of television personality Jesse James, who was married to Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock, she is still trying to trade off the scandal.
“It’s time to reveal the scandalous return of Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee – only this time it has nothing to do with a celebrity breakup! The tattooed vixen stars in ‘Nazithon: Decadence and Destruction’ premiering on Full Moon’s GrindHouseFlix,” boasted a recent press release. “’Nazithon’ brings together the infamous tattooed mistress and gay rugby icon, Ian Roberts, to host a truly mind-blowing compilation cinema’s best Nazi exploitation films.”
While McGee’s options may be limited – she has "pray for the sinner" tattooed across her forehead – others with a little more mainstream aesthetic still have a tough road.
“It really depends who they are and how they come across to the public, as well as how big – and how well liked – a name the married man was that they had an affair with,” said Sarah Symonds, author of “A Handbook for the Other Woman,” and founder of Mistresses Anonymous, a group she started long before her alleged years-long affair with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey hit headlines in 2008. (He denied the affair.)
“I wasn’t looking for any hype, but generally, the opportunities for these women are rare and short-lived," Symonds said. "So any mistress planning to expose a married man should also have a Plan B as a career.”
Several infamous mistresses have indeed put Plan B’s into action, with varying success.
Ashley Dupre
Ashley Dupre tried to capitalize on her “Kristen” call girl status following an explosive liaison with married New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. Just after the New York Times published its profile of the high-end escort in 2008, her single “Move Ya Body” set a record for how quickly it dictated a top price on music download website AmieStreet.com, reaching the maximum $.98 in just five hours. Another single “What We Want” was reportedly played over 3 million times amid news of the Spitzer saga, earning Dupre as much as $1.4 million from download sales in a few days.
Dupre kept her momentum going enough to earn a spot on the VH1 reality series “Famous Food” in 2011. She also scored herself a cover spread in Playboy magazine, became a sex columnist for the New York Post. She later joined forces with HarperCollins to publish the e-book “Tricks of the Trade: Advice on Sex, Love and Lust from the Column by America's Most Famous Former Escort.”
Dupre, who also opened a New Jersey-based swimwear/lingerie store Femme by Ashley, recently gave birth to a baby girl and is engaged to asphalt scion Thomas “TJ” Earle.
Rachel Uchitel
Rachel Uchitel was considered Tiger Woods’s “number one” (of many) go-to girls after the golfer’s indiscretions were uncovered in 2009. The former VIP hostess signed a $10 million confidentiality settlement, but reportedly had to return the big bucks due to a violation after she appeared on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” She lingered in the limelight, but fell off the Tinseltown radar when she got married in 2011 and gave birth a year ago. But on Tuesday, Uchitel found herself back in the news after her husband, businessman and former Penn State football player Matt Hahn, filed for divorce “citing "cruel and inhumane treatment."
Plan C?
Oksana Grigorieva
Mel Gibson’s baby mama musician Oksana Grigorieva utilized her famous connection to further her entertainment endeavors with the 2009 album “Beautiful Heartache,” executive produced by Gibson. However, these days Grigorieva is better known as the subject behind an array of the actor’s profanity-laced rants, legal proceedings and acrimony. In December, it was reported that the Russian beauty was pursuing a career in hip hop and dance music.
Monica Lewinsky
The former White House intern hooked up with President Bill Clinton several times between November 1995 and March 1997. Following his impeachment hearings in 1999, Lewinsky published a tell-all book with Andrew Morton, designed her own handbag line under the company name The Real Monica, Inc., inked a lucrative deal with Jenny Craig, became a socialite on the A-list Manhattan scene, was a news correspondent in England, and then a reality television host.
In 2006, Lewinsky retreated to London to go back to school, and has since been fallen off the radar. But that could change soon. In interviews with David Letterman and Entertainment Tonight last month, Barbara Walters – who is retiring next year – said she would love to interview Lewinsky again in her final show. Walters’ original interview with the infamous intern for ABC’s 20/20 in 1999 is still the highest-rated TV interview of all-time, viewed by more than 74 million Americans.
But Lewinsky is the exception to the rule. According to Noel Biderman, who runs the affair website AshleyMadison.com, most mistresses have very little chance of remaining in-demand for very long after their dirty laundry is aired.
“I would advise anyone looking to build their name to try out a sex tape instead,” he quipped.
Symonds agreed.
“Real life mistresses that I work with are just struggling to even pay the rent at times,” she said.

Sarah Murnaghan Lung Transplant Fight A Preview Of Obamacare?

Sarah Murnaghan Lung Transplant Fight A Preview Of Obamacare?
What do Sarah Murnaghan and Obamacare have to do with each other?
If some political commentators are correct, the Sarah Murnaghan lung transplant saga might be a preview of Obamacare.
The Sarah Murnaghan lung transplant fight began with a 10-year-old girl with end stage cystic fibrosis. Sarah Murnaghan desperately needed a lung transplant in order to survive, but the government health laws stated that Sarah Murnaghan was one year too young to be on the waiting list for an adult lung, which was enforced by Kathleen Sebelius.
The Sarah Murnaghan and Obamacare comparison comes in because Kathleen Sebelius is being compared to the hypothetical Obamacare death panels. This idea comes from the belief that government-determined decisions on health care under Obamacare may determine who gets to live and who dies. Government officials of the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), which is designed to contain Medicare costs, are dismissive of claims of Obamacare death panels, but fears still remain of rationed health care and treatment denials.
Kathleen Sebelius made the Sarah Murnaghan, Obamacare connection when she pronounced death on Sarah Murnaghan by saying, “Some people live. Some people die.” Congress member Elijah Cummings said something similar, saying, “In life, there is death, and in death there is life. Death is a part of life.”
Represenative Lou Barletta (R-PA) told Kathleen Sebelius, “Time is running out, please suspend the rules until we look at this policy, which we all believe is flawed.” Sibelius responded,  “Forty people in your home state are waiting for a lung.” Fortunately, Sarah Murnaghan won in court and judge Michael Baylson suspended existing organ allocation rules to give Sarah Murnaghan a chance at life.
Critics of comparing the case of Sarah Murnaghan to Obamacare claim Kathleen Sebelius was correct in her decision because “adult lungs don’t fit well in children’s bodies, and that makes it hard to transplant them.” The IPAB is reportedly prohibited by law from making “any recommendation to ration health care … or otherwise restrict benefits.” They’re not supposed to make recommendations on individual cases, only on broad cutbacks and policy changes. Even if it does happen, Congress can overrule them.
Do you think the Sarah Murnaghan, Obamacare comparisons are accurate?

Nigella Lawson And Charles Saatchi 'Row' Probe

Police are investigating reports of an alleged row involving celebrity chef Nigella Lawson and her husband, Charles Saatchi.
It follows the emergence of photographs which appear to show the art collector with his hand around Lawson's neck as the pair sat on the terrace of a restaurant on June 9.
Lawson, 53, the daughter of former chancellor Lord Lawson, was reportedly seen weeping following the episode outside Scott's in Mayfair, central London.
She reportedly left her Chelsea home on Sunday with a suitcase and her 17-year-old son, Bruno.
An onlooker told The Daily Mirror: "Nigella looked on edge but Bruno was very protective of her and keen to look after her."
Saatchi also reportedly left the house on Sunday but returned later refusing to comment.
Lawson's spokesperson told Sky News that "there will be no additional comment today".
Both are said to be regular visitors to the upmarket restaurant in Mount Street, with one report claiming that the couple were there on Saturday, less than a week after the alleged row.
Scotland Yard said it was aware of the photographs which appeared in the Sunday People newspaper.
A spokesman said: "Officers from the Community Safety Unit at Westminster are aware of the article. Inquiries are in hand to establish the facts of the incident."
They added that Lawson had not made any complaint to the police.
The Community Safety Unit is designed to tackle hate crime, and the types of incidents they investigate include domestic violence, homophobia and racism.
Lawson wed Saatchi, 70, who made his name in advertising, in 2003.
She has two children, Cosima and Bruno, from her marriage to journalist John Diamond, who died of throat cancer in 2001.
She became a household name in 1998 with her first cookery book, How To Eat.

Juneteenth shooting: Teen arrested for shooting 11-year-old at Ohio festival

(NBC4)
Ohio police have arrested 15-year-old Lovauntea J. Mickens on assault charges after a 10-year-old festivalgoer was injured by a stray bullet in Columbus on Saturday, the Columbus Dispatch reported.
Authorities shut down the Juneteenth Festival, marking the day Texas slaves learned of their emancipation, after an 11-year-old boy was accidentally shot in the leg. Police had arrested
"To know why we're coming together and we mess it us up that's so awful, it's sickening," Crystal Coleman, a vendor, told NBC 4.
"Every year they get out here and show out. Now we're not going to have anything we can do that represents the African-American community and it's a disgrace," Columbus resident Benita David said.

Potawatomi Shooting: Woman Shot On Casino Floor In Milwaukee

police tape
A woman was shot late last night at the Potawatomi casino in Milwaukee.
According to WISN, the shooting occurred inside the Potawatomi Bingo Casino at about 1:30 am on Sunday morning. Police says that a 27-year-old man shot his girlfriend, 23, in the leg. The woman was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries. The wound was not-life threatening.
Today reports that several other people were injured in the chaos that followed the shooting. No one was seriously injured.
The Casino said in a statement: “We are thankful no one was hurt more seriously and that the situation was contained quickly.”
A witness said that the 27-year-old man, who was arrested at the scene, shot his girlfriend after an argument on the casino floor. The Casino was evacuated and closed after the shooting as police conducted their investigation. The casino reopened at about 9 am this morning.
One witness told Fox 6: “I was upstairs at the bingo hall, and then when it was over they told everybody to exit because it was a shooting downstairs. The security guards was there. They dropped like everybody else dropped. They wasn’t too much protecting each other. They were trying but they were scared too. They fell to the floor. The whole casino fell to the floor basically.”

Billy Horschel’s Octopus Pants Make An Impression

Billy Horschel's Octopus Pants Were Interesting
Billy Horschel’s octopus pants certainly made an impression at the US Open at Merion Golf Club this weekend. But despite the history of bad fashion in golf (polo shirts are the first that come to mind), many critics think Horschel’s pants were over the top.
Horschel, a rookie on the PGA Tour, is sponsored by Ralph Lauren. As a result, the golfer often wears the company’s golf line, RLX.
The octopus pants first appeared on Wednesday when Horschel tweeted out sketches of his outfits for this week’s US Open. They immediately caused a buzz, though there was no word on what the rookie actually thought of the outfit.
Having made it to the final round, the golfer posted a photo on Twitter of himself wearing the pants on Sunday morning. He commented,  ”Well here they are! The highly anticipated highly controversial….Octopus pants! Great outfits all week by RLX!”
Billy Horschel paired his octopus pants with a bright pink polo shirt. And while John Daly has long been considered the sport’s leader in bad fashion, we’re sure that Horschel could give him a run for his money.
The former University of Florida golfer teed off in eighth place on Sunday at 3-over par. He was four strokes behind Phil Mickelson, the leader of the final round.
As odd as Horschel’s octopus pants looked, there was more of a controversy surrounding them than you would expect for the rookie. He has often made strange fashion statements and, according to his PGA Tour bio, he is also a big fan of the Twilight series. Horschel’s bio adds that he is “a believe in Bigfoot and UFOs.”
Along with Horschel’s octopus pants, Englishman Ian Poulter, a frontrunner in strange golf fashion, has worn everything from the British flag to an old TV test pattern. There is also Rickie Fowler, who normally wears the same color from head to toe.
What do you think of Billy Horschel’s octopus pants? Were they a little bit out there, or were they on par for the rookie’s normal attire?

Bill Cosby Hates Dumb TV Parents

Bill Cosby Hates Dumb TV Parents
Bill Cosby hates dumb TV parents, which probably means he’s not particularly enamored by Family Guy.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, a fake Bill Cosby rant titled “I’m 83 and I’m Tired” made the rounds on the internet, making the real Bill Cosby fairly angry.
Speaking at the Temple University in Philadelphia recently, Bill Cosby spoke about the importance of education, but he also made it quite clear he’s not finished with entertainment.
“I’ve had a great deal of success,” Bill Cosby said. “I’ve enjoyed what I’ve done, but I’m not done yet.”
Bill Cosby also has a thing to say about parenting and current pop culture icons:
“I based the [Bill Cosby] series on two important things: Number one … I hated those series where the children were brighter than the parents, and those parents had to play dumb.”
So why does Bill Cosby hate dumb TV parents? Bill Cosby believes that if we create entertainment “at the expense of parenting, at the expense of keeping children out of harm’s way to get these laughs, to make these parents look stupid, to make kids look like they are ultra-bright but still lost, then we have a problem.”
Bill Cosby believes parents should want to be well-liked, but not at the expense of “some kind of judgment.” Bill Cosby believes in tough love parenting, saying that in order to keep children safe it’s better to be right than liked. Which explains why the Bill Cosby character was nothing like Homer Simpson, Al Bundy, Peter Griffin, or Phil Dunphy, who are often only perfect examples of how not to be a parent.
Do you agree with Bill Cosby that dumb TV parents are a bad trend in pop culture?

Today's Devotions Morning June 2

2 Samuel 11:2-4a (NIV) 2One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, 3and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, "Isn't this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite?" 4aThen David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her.

In the spring, the kings would go out to war on the enemies of their nations. Instead of going out with his army, David sent his general, Joab. David remained in Jerusalem. It has been said that an idle mind is the Devil's workshop. It sounds like David was sleeping in and rose to do a little peeping on his neighbors from his roof. He saw a beautiful woman bathing. Instead of turning his gaze, as would have been appropriate, he continued to look. His mind dwelt on her beauty, and he took the next step to ask who she is. The answer from his servant should have been a wake up call, but then he took the next step and had her summoned to his presence.
We can see the string of sins, each leading to a greater one. In the season before, God had given David a great victory over his enemies. Joab was leading the forces against an old enemy, the Ammonites. Why had David decided to stay behind? He was not an old man. Was his vacation from the war a purposeful choice to indulge himself in some way? From the looking to the contemplation, to the asking, to the invitation, David was sliding down a slippery slope.
The fall of many a man of God has the same sad story. One sin leads to another. If at anytime in your life you decide to stop fighting the enemy to indulge yourself, it won't be long before you find yourself defeated. At any point, David could have stopped and realized where he was headed. He would have avoided the devastating consequences.
Consider: He didn't choose to stop and so he paid the price. Will you?

June 2

John 3:14-16 (NIV) 14Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

In trying to help Nicodemus to understand His mission, Jesus related what He had come to do with a story from the Law (Numbers 21). Nicodemus studied the Law daily and would have immediately understood the implications. When the Children of Israel were complaining about their circumstances, God sent fiery serpents among them. Those who were bitten died in a short time. Moses asked God what he could do to save them. God told him to make a brazen serpent and put it on a pole. Anyone that had been bitten could look at the image and be healed. That is where the medical symbol of today comes from.
Jesus related this story to His mission. To be hung on a pole was to be cursed according to the Law. The brass in the image represented judgment. Jesus was saying that He would be cursed and judged so that the sin sick world could look to Him and live.
Why? Because God loved the world so much that He was willing to send His only Son to save the world from their certain death condition. He was the only one who could take the curse and sins of the world upon Himself and satisfy the justice of God. Those who lived before Christ looked forward in time to what Jesus would do for them. Those of us who live after the cross look back in time to what He did there. We all gaze upon the cross and in believing are healed from this deadly poison of sin. God so loved YOU that He gave His only Son, that if YOU will believe in Him, YOU will not die from the poison of sin in YOU. YOU will have eternal life.
Meditation: Put your name in place of "the world" and "whosoever" in the 16th verse.
